What is this game about
In Slay the Spire, you need to complete various levels by fighting the enemies. You need to select one of the four preselected characters at the beginning. Each of them having their own set of starting cards, including attack and defense abilities. The main goal is to complete all the missions. You will encounter various enemies on your way. Each level ends with combat with a boss.
Fighting enemies is the biggest part of the game. All combats are played in turns. Each round, you get a new deck of cards that you can use. There are attack, defense, skill, and other types of cards that you can combine to protect yourself or to hit the enemy. The best part is that you never know what deck you receive. You need to create your strategy on the fly. You can also spend money to remove some cards from the deck to add strength.
Once you have completed missions and earned some points, you can unlock new characters. There is also a special mode where you will face various challenges.
